What started off as a simple appreciation for music very quickly turned into an obsession that would forever change Zathan Radix’ life. Zathan's love for music started very early on, but it wasn't until around the age of 16 when his DJ fascination began. This new road which Zathan was about to embark on evolved from his belief that in order to really experience music properly, it should never be uninterrupted!

Zathan's new quest in life was to figure out how to blend songs together so the music would never have to stop! Zathan knew little about the DJ world and even less about how to mix, but he persevered and taught himself, learned by trial and error as he went along.

Initially, Zathan’s thoughts of being a professional DJ, were ones he assumed would just remain dreams. Little did Zathan know that one day his hobby would become his career and dream come true. It would take many years for this to happen, but Zathan stayed focused and concentrated on fine tuning his craft.

Zathan continued to DJ small house parties and make demo CDs. Zathan’s talent and creative ability did not go unnoticed. Eventually one of Zathan's demos fell into the right hands and landed his first gig at Transit Night Club (Philadelphia) due to his die hard commitment to all things music. Since then Zathan has worked in all of Philadelphia’s major nightclubs and hot spots, including the opening of Blue Ball 2007’s main event.

Zathan’s relationship with music is one that some people might have a hard time understanding. He lives and breathes for music and without it would question what's the point in living? Zathan spends the majority of his time in the studio doing anything from researching & finding the freshest new tracks to working on remixes of his own.

Though Zathan may be young in comparison to his other DJ counterparts you will find at times he is more versed in house music history than some DJs twice his age. Zathan prides himself on knowing the classic for they have helped sculpt us into who we are and charted what music has become today. It's Zathan's familiarity with these classics that gives his sets depth, soul and meaning. Zathan's knowledge of our music past is what makes his sets stand out from all the rest!

Zathan really does have the ability to forecast what his audiences want to hear. His sets are magical journeys through time. Zathan hand picks only the finest in musical couture. Each song an intricate piece of the story he is trying to tell. Then Zathan stitches each song together like a skilled surgeon creating a musical montage of classic house sounds and cutting edge dance tracks.
